Who can use it

You must be at least 18 to create an account, because buying and selling involves real payments. You need a verified email address, and you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

Our role in the marketplace

Nomney connects shoppers with independent stores. Those stores — not Nomney — are responsible for the items they list: accuracy, condition, authenticity, and legality. We are not the merchant of record, and we do not take possession of items. When you place an order you are transacting with the store, through us.

Buying

Payment is collected at checkout and processed by Stripe. Item condition and fulfilment are the store’s responsibility. If something is wrong with an order, contact the store through the app first, and come to us if it is not resolved.

Selling and fees

Stores must accept our marketplace policies before publishing a listing, and by listing an item you confirm you have the right to sell it and that your description is accurate.

Nomney charges a 10% commission on the item price, excluding shipping, on each completed sale. It is deducted automatically before your payout, so there is nothing to calculate or remit yourself. Payouts are issued through Stripe Connect, which may charge its own standard fees. We may remove a listing or a store that breaks these terms or the law.

Cancellations

You can request a cancellation in the app while an order is still unprocessed. The store reviews the request and approves or declines it. If you think a store is acting in bad faith, report the listing or the store from within the app and our team will review it.

Returns and exchanges

Returns and exchanges are handled at the store, in person, within the store’s return window of 14 days from pickup. Bring the item to the store and they will record the return or exchange for you. This is deliberate: handling it face to face, with the item present, protects both you and the store.

The store settles the money directly with you. A refund, cash back where a replacement costs less, or any difference to pay on a more expensive replacement is arranged at the counter — Nomney does not process it. Whether an item can be returned, and in what condition, is the store’s decision within their own policy and your local consumer rights.

What you may not do

• List counterfeit, stolen, or illegal items.
• Misrepresent an item’s condition, authenticity, or origin.
• Harass, threaten, or defraud another user.
• Work around the platform’s payment system to avoid fees.
• Collect other users’ information for anything outside the marketplace.
• Interfere with the app, or try to reach accounts or data that are not yours.

We may remove content or suspend access, at our discretion, to enforce these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and details you upload. By publishing a listing or a wardrobe photo you give us permission to store, display, and process that content as needed to run the app — showing your listing to shoppers, for example. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.

Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, commits fraud, or puts other users or the platform at risk.

Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, that transactions will be free of disputes, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, Nomney Virtual Closet is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from a marketplace transaction.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Nomney Virtual Closet is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app develops. We will update the date above, and tell you in the app when a change is material.
